After a long night President Barack Obama has been re-elected to a second term.
With a second chance to fulfill some of the expectations that greeted his election in 2008, Obama used his soaring victory speech at a rally in Chicago – by far his best of the entire campaign – to press for a bipartisan approach to politics and returned once again to his theme of hope.
Stepping up to the lectern to the upbeat strains of Stevie Wonder’s Signed, Sealed, Delivered, I’m Yours, Obama told the ecstatic crowd of supporters: “Tonight in this election, you, the American people, reminded us that while our road has been hard, while our journey has been long, we have picked ourselves up, we have fought our way back. And we know in our hearts that for the United States of America the best is yet to come.”
In a speech that lasted more than 25 minutes, after paying emotional tribute to his wife Michelle and his daughters Malia and Sasha – as well as to his vice-president, Joe Biden – Obama returned to the message that first brought him to national attention.
“We are not as divided as our politics suggests,” he said. “We’re not as cynical as the pundits believe. We are greater than the sum of our individual ambitions, and we remain more than a collection of red states and blue states. We are, and forever will be, the United States of America.”

You may or may not have heard of him, but the fact still remains that this guys identity continues to elude most of us hip hop heads out there. There are many rumors suggesting who is behind this new “Captain Murphy” project. Many point towards Odd Futures ‘Tyler the Creator’; which is who I’d put my money on considering they sound exactly the fucking same. Though the name of the YouTube channel suggests that it could also be the influence of another one of adultswim’s most valuable artists; Mr. Daniel MF Doom’ile, who is no stranger to the life of multiple identities and aliases.
Regardless of the mystery shrouding the creators of this project, one thing we can be certain of is how classically underground yet refreshing this sound is. We look forward to the release that is planned for Nov.15 called ‘Duality‘ which again indicates that this could be a collaboration of artists, as Flying Lotus has also been linked to the production of some of the tracks. You can listen to a few on their YouTube channel that we have posted below, if this is the first you have heard of this I promise it won’t disappoint. Especially if you are a hip-hop fan. Though there is also something on there for you dirty dirty ‘Trap’ guys, as they have remixed one of Hudson Mohawke’s and Lunice’s tracks off the TNGHT EP…
